COVID-19 POLICY:
Children with a temperature above 100 degrees may not attend camp or class. Please let us know if you or your child may have attended a class while you were exposed to COVID so we can let the other students know. We do not require masks to attend classes or camps. We do however appreciate the use of a mask if you feel you may have been exposed or you are past the 5 day window and would like to keep others safe. Please check with the cdc guildlines for schools as we follow the same protocol. Thank you for keeping everyone around you safe!
AGE GROUP:
Class/camp times are split to group students in ages with closer maturity and skill levels. Please make sure you are choosing the class/camp that is suitable for your child’s age. Students signing up with siblings or friends may choose to join the younger or older group. Age groups are determined based on maturity of conversation and actions. If you choose to place your child in an older group, your child may hear conversations they might not be ready for (i.e. Santa Clause somehow always comes up!) and if your child will be placed in a younger group, they will need to be mindful of the things they say in that class. We always try to refocus and make sure students are speaking words of love and kindness, but sometimes once something comes out, it can't go back in! If there are any problems with inappropriate conversation or behavior, we will ask for your child to switch classes.
REFUND/CANCELLATION:
A makeup class will only be given if a class is canceled by the teacher. If a makeup class is not able to be offered, a refund will be given with no fee.
Weekly classes: We cannot provide makeups or refunds for last minute student cancellations or no shows. Art supplies are purchased and instructors prepare in advance for each class for the amount of students registered. Your payment guarantees your spot to be held for this weekly class. With a week’s notice prior to class start, you can switch classes, receive credit or will be issued a refund (with a $5 cancellation fee per transaction) if you cannot attend your session.
Event or workshop: Up to 3 days prior to the event you may request a credit towards a future class or request a refund minus a $5 fee (per transaction). If at the last minute you find you are unable to attend, please consider gifting to a friend or a neighbor.
ACCIDENTAL ISSUES:
Welcome to the Art Room LLC accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage to personal articles and effects, nor for personal accidents, injury or death. This includes damage from using art materials that ruin clothing and manicures used during a class.
PHOTOS/VIDEOS:
I agree and understand that during classes, Welcome to the Art Room LLC will take photos and/or videos throughout the duration of the class or workshop. Therefore I agree to having myself or my child photographed/videoed and also of my/their art project and process. All images are the property of Welcome To The Art Room LLC and may be used on the website, instagram, facebook and advertising materials. Please follow and share your stardom with your friends!
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
In most art classes, there is a chance of using a material that can permanately stain clothing. We provide aprons and gloves upon request. For younger students, aprons are always offered when using a staining material. The safest choice would be to wear or send your students in an outfit that can stained. In a weekly class, feel free to wear the same outfit every week! We also sell "The Art Room" logo tshirts for $12, if you would like to purchase and change once you arrive! Please note that some paints and materials stick to nail polish.
Can I rent the Art Room?
If you have project and a group and need a space to create, you may rent The Art Room! If you would like to hold a party in The Art Room, but would like me to teach and provide supplies, that is also possible! Please contact me with a date, time, and idea of your event. see “Party in The Art Room” page for more details!
