We welcome local Fine Artist, Sophie Dare Dentiste, to The Art Room!

Each design is from Sophie’s personal collection of photos and paintings. We will be experimenting and learning the basics of acrylic painting palette knife and brushwork, color theory and tips.

Each class will consist of all supplies with image PRE-SKETCHED on an 11x14 canvas (or paper for watercolor). We will be experimenting and learning the basics of color theory and proper tools.

All that is required is a desire for the creative and a peaceful mindset.

Spring 2025 classes –

Fridays 6-8:30 pm

Acrylic Classes - $65 each or choose 4 pkg for $240

January 17: Hydrangeas

February 14: beach scene

March 14: blue crab

April 26: Tree, Saturday 2pm (a Calavida Event)

May 9: peonies

5 students required per class, so bring a friend! All supplies provided.

IMPORTANT INFO:

Please sign up 3 days in advance of each class so we know how many to be prepared for. 16 students maximum, 5 students minimum. (If the minimum is not reached, the class may be rescheduled or canceled/refunded payment.)

Age recommendation: This is a 2 hour, peaceful class designed for a mature audience. This class does not require previous painting or artistic skills, but is not intended for young children.

Feel free to bring your own water, coffee, tea, wine, beer. Red’s Wine Bar is two doors down, you can order and bring down anything you like (sometimes they even deliver!) Spring Park Coffee is one block away and also has a great selection of drinks!
