About this class:

This unique class is an 8-16 week class for ages 2-3 (pre-kindergarten). This class is entirely process based. The projects are focused on the "doing" rather than a completed project. Process art helps toddlers develop many important skills they need. It improves fine motor skills and critical thinking.It provides a nonverbal outlet for emotions and the opportunity to explore patterning and cause & effect. Your young artist will interact and create with acrylic paint, watercolors, clay, papers and glue. A participating adult is required to attend class with each child. PLEASE, arrive in clothes, adult and child, that you can get messy. This includes your socks and shoes!

This class is taught by Sarah Hamel, she taught art in a public school setting for the past five years. She is adept at meeting each artist at their current skill level and challenging them to grow. Her goal is to create an environment where every student can feel safe enough to explore and express themselves freely!

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions:

Minimum of 4 students per class. Max of 10 students per class. A week before classes begin, if the minimum has not been met we will have to cancel the class. Please sign up in advance to guarantee your spot in the class or to make sure we have the class you want for your artist. Please share with your friends through email and social media!

We are very flexible with families. We understand there may be a child on the cusp of either class. Please email or call with questions.

You may sign your student up for as many 8 week sessions as you like as they will learn and grow their skills with each session and many new projects will be created and not duplicated. We recommend signing up for the full 16 weeks during a semester to get the full benefit of the class. Many students are with us for years of classes!

IF the instructor has to cancel class for emergency reasons (personal or environmental) and we cannot find a replacement teacher, we will contact you as soon as possible through the Remind App. The possible Makeup Class will be held on the 9th week after the scheduled 8 weeks have ended.

If you are having trouble signing up for a class it means there are no spots left for that session. Please choose a different class or session.
