HANDBUILDING
We are looking for a wheel or handbuilding teacher. No spring session evening class available.
Min of 3, Max of 10 students per class.
Students will learn or be reminded of the basics of clay building and sculpting along with techniques that advance their skills as their ability allows. All abilities and levels are welcome in this class as we will give additional instruction where needed to advance a student’s skills if necessary. This class may also be taken in additional sessions as even if a similar project is repeated, there are unending ways to create new ideas and skills.
This price includes: clay (provided per project), limited studio glazes, kiln firing and usage of classroom tools. Students may only fire pieces made during class in the studio. Feel free to bring your own tools and glazes!
Each student is provided a locker if you would like to store anything in studio.
We do not offer glazing or firing for non-class projects at this time.

WHEEL
Taught by clay artist Lydia Borko.
Min of 2, Max of 5 students per class.
Students will learn or be reminded of the basics of wheel thrown pottery along with techniques that advance their skills as their ability allows. All abilities and levels are welcome in this class as we will give additional instruction where needed to advance a student’s skills if necessary. This class may also be taken in additional sessions as even if a similar project is repeated, there are unending ways to create new ideas and skills. Wheel throwing takes patience and ability to find balance on the wheel.
IMPORTANT NOTE about TIME: This class has about 15 minutes of set up and about 20 minutes of clean up. Students may come 15 minutes early once the session begins and they learn what to do to get set up. Students may also stay 20 minutes after as the clean up process will be staggered with multiple people in the class. Please schedule your time accordingly. If you need to leave exactly at the time class ends, please start cleaning up 20-30 minutes before you need to leave or be picked up. You cannot leave your station or projects as is, clean up and projects are the students responsibility at the end of class.
A week before classes begin, if the minimum has not been met we will have to cancel the class. Please sign up in advance to guarantee your spot in the class or to make sure we have the class you want for your artist. Please share with your friends through email and social media!
IF the instructor has to cancel class for emergency reasons (personal or environmental) and we cannot find a replacement teacher, we will contact you as soon as possible through the Remind App. The possible Makeup Class will be held on the 9th week after the scheduled 8 weeks have ended.
Payments are made per session, not per class. If your student cannot attend a class during the session, there are no makeups or forwarded payments. Signing up for the session ensures your spot in the class for all 8 weeks.
If you are having trouble signing up for a class it means there are no spots left for that session. Please choose a different class or session.
